Metal Grating
Metal Grating has been available for decades, and has been successful for a number of applications. However, over the past few years, we have witnessed problems where galvanised steel metal gratings have failed due to corrosive elements, or where galvanising has been subject to damage. Galvanised grating over time may rust and corrode beyond use. Fibreglass grating is anti slip, lightweight, maintenance free and can replace galvanised steel metal grating. Galvanised steel metal grating is also subject to deformation due to overloading, rendering the material dangerous and a trip hazard. Dura Tread grating weighs one third of galvanised steel metal grating, is easier to lay and does not require heavy lifting equipment for installing or removal for routine servicing. The new 38mm thick gully covers can be handled easily when maintenance and repairs take place. The anti-slip gritted surface provides secure footing in all weathers. The grating cover panels are non-magnetic, non-sparking, non-conductive, and completely maintenance-free. A wide range of stainless steel hold-down fixings and panel-to-panel joiners are available for all grating types.
Metal Grating is also subject to deformation due to over loading, rendering the material dangerous and a trip hazard. For further information on how to prevent this by using the right type of grating, please contact Eccles (UK Foundries FE) Ltd on 01922 613 222 or email enquiries@eccles-uk.co.uk.
