NEW COMPOSITE PRODUCTS

Composites in action!

The practical advantages of reinforced fibre resin composite manhole covers are enormous. Eccles’ experience in the field ensures that every product detail and its application have been addressed.

LIGHTWEIGHT - The weight of each cover is much lower than standard
ductile iron or steel equivalent. This means they can be lifted by one man
which conforms to new industry working standards.

MULTI-USES - The products are compatible with all existing chambers
so they can be used for both replacement projects and new build.
The benefits of this include:

  • Time saved on maintaining stocks on-site.

  • More covers can be transported per vehicle at reduced cost.
  • Cover usability allows for a safer working environment.
  • NEW APPLICATIONS -The new advanced composite material provides the option for covers to be customised for a wide range of applications such as incorporating company and usage details on the surface.

VERSATILE - The covers can be manufactured to a customer’s own specifications, including a range of colours to suit different design concepts. The durable finish keeps its profile and colour in all weather conditions, and is particularly resistant to de-icing salts.

AVAILABILITY - Products are always available ex-stock to be despatched from the company's Walsall depot to every part of the country via the Midlands motorway network.

WEIGHT LOADING - Eccles’ products cover weight capacities of up to 1.5 tonne, 3.5 tonne and 12.5 tonne, making them suitable for a vast array of uses ranging from pedestrian and shoulders and parking areas. The diagram (below) shows the areas where the products can be used.
